HonduFuturo-RMIT University Joint Scholarship

If you are an international student from Honduras applying for a Master by Coursework or Masters by Research or PhD at RMIT University, you may be eligible for this jointly funded scholarship.

The HonduFuturo-RMIT University joint scholarship is jointly funded by RMIT and Fundación HonduFuturo and aims to provide further financial assistance to talented Honduran students who want to pursue Master by Coursework, Masters by Research and PhD programs at RMIT.

Value and duration

This scholarship provides:

  • Funding for English Language Studies (ELICOS) up to 10 weeks per student
  • 50% tuition fee scholarship for two eligible students for Master by Coursework program in any discipline
  • Full tuition fee scholarship for ten eligible students for maximum of 4 years of a PhD program or 2 years of a Masters by Research program (with no possibility of extension).
  • Scholarships will be distributed evenly across RMIT's three Colleges

HonduFuturo provides up to a total amount of USD 25,000 per year for a maximum of 2 years to cover remaining tuition fees, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), living costs and other related costs.

Students will be required to provide additional living costs beyond the two years that are covered by Guatefuturo and will be responsible for arranging the following:

  • Visa and associated expenses
  • Student Services and Amenities Fees (SSAF)
  • Accommodation, travel, books, equipment and other expenses
     

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be a citizen of Honduras
  • Have an offer for a Master by Coursework or Masters by Research or PhD program at RMIT
  • Be an awardee of the HonduFuturo scholarship-loan
  • Commence full-time enrolment as an onshore international student
     

How to apply

  1. Find an RMIT Masters by Coursework or Master by Research or PhD program.
  2. Make an application to study at RMIT by submitting an expression of interest (EOI) for research programs. if successful, you will then be invited to submit an application.
  3. Receive an offer from RMIT.
  4. Submit an application for the HonduFuturo scholarship-loan scheme. For information on how to apply for the scholarship-loan, please visit the Hondufuturo website.
  5. Selected beneficiaries of the Hondufuturo scholarship-loan scheme will then be considered and nominated for the discount through the Hondufuturo-RMIT joint scholarship.
