Taking your aviation career to new heights

This course is an ideal stepping stone to English proficiency for a wide range of aviation industry workers. At pre-intermediate level, it builds on the foundation English of trainees so that they can immediately communicate more effectively on the job.

At the same time, it prepares them for further training delivered in English. Altitude can be tailored to focus on any personnel within your organisation. For example pilots, air traffic controllers, maintenance and cabin crew.

Course

This course consists of 72 hours of highly interactive Aviation English learning activities across six units, set in relevant work-related contexts. It can be tailored to focus on any personnel within your organisation, for example, cadet pilots, ab initio air traffic controllers, maintenance technicians and cabin crew. Each unit has four themes and each theme has three lessons of one hour each.

The focus is on fluency and the practical use of English in a professional setting.  

Learning objectives

Help participants increase their fluency and accuracy when speaking and writing English in specific aviation contexts.

Improve understanding (listening) of short conversations and reading of short texts on aviation work-related topics.

Increase knowledge of aviation and work-related vocabulary and accuracy in grammar.
