On-Site: Lab 01 with Aaron Billings

'On-Site: Lab 01 with Aaron Billings' explores the artist's central practice of storytelling through drawing, ceramics and textile works.

Using narrative as medium, Billings examines the politics, histories, public perceptions and intimacy of queer identities.

The largest retrospective of the artist's work to date, this colourful series of works re-interpret the humour of the everyday in an effort to play with societal expectations.

The exhibition invites audiences to tell their own stories by making works and adding them to the growing exhibition.

The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Friday, with the artist onsite to conduct workshops on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 to 3:30 PM.

'On-Site' is an engagement-focused solo exhibition for an RMIT PhD candidate to explore their practice with the broader community.
