Youth Program

The Youth Program aims to promote infrastructure engineering as an exciting and ambitious career path for female students from year levels 9-12.

Students will participate in:

  • 3 excursions to construction sites, production plants, and state-of-the-art laboratories.
  • A 9-5 work day experience with enthusiastic industry members excited to demonstrate roles in infrastructure engineering.  This experience will enhance the understanding of skills and attributes sought by the employer, and is a time for students and mentors to follow up on any questions regarding day-to-day tasks and gaining knowledge on how to map out their future career plans.
  • A 1-day workshop at RMIT with inspirational speakers presenting on their journey to becoming a senior executive member of the road and airport engineering industry, where students can connect with and communicate with women at all levels within the industry.
