Colin Byron has been teaching Accounting at RMIT for over 12 years. They have had over 30 years industry experience in Senior Management roles including extensive experience in international locations.

Overview

Colin has been an Accounting teacher at RMIT for over 12 years. He has taught many Accounting and Finance subjects over the years. He provides students with significant practical experience, as he has had over 30 years industry experience in business and finance. His experience also aids him in successfully providing practical advice to students on career pathways especially related to Accounting qualifications

Thanks to his years working overseas in Asia, Europe and the US, Colin is also able to work very well with international students.

Industry experience

Colin has had over 30 years experience in local and International Accounting and business industries. He spent his initial career working for one of the 4 Major Accounting firms in the world, He then worked for 25 years with a global IT company as a Finance, Marketing and Sales executive. He spent time working in Silicon Valley in the US, managing 13 countries in Asia Pacific and also working in Ireland as the European Marketing and Business Development Director.

Colin has also tutored in the post graduate CPA program in subjects including Global Strategy and Leadership, Strategic Management Accounting and Contemporary Business Issues.
