Human dignity is at the heart of all human rights. But what happens when one person's right to freedom of religion seems to conflict with another's right to be free from discrimination? If all human rights are equally important, how do we address situations where these rights appear to be at odds? What framework can guide us in balancing these intersecting rights?
Join us at the 2024 Higinbotham Lecture, where the President of the Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC), Justice Mordy Bromberg, will delve into these challenging questions.
About the Higinbotham Lecture
The annual Higinbotham lecture is one of RMIT’s most prestigious events and celebrates the legacy of Victorian politician and Chief Justice, George Higinbotham, exploring topical legal issues and the interaction between law and society.
We look forward to welcoming you to this thought-provoking event.
