About

Dr Tim O’Shannassy is a Senior Lecturer in the Graduate School of Business and Law at RMIT University. His teaching and research interests include strategic management, corporate governance and entrepreneurship.

Tim received his PhD in strategic management from Monash University. Tim teaches Creating Business Strategies in the MBA Executive, Strategy in the MBA and the MBA programs elective Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation. Tim has a particular professional interest in Harvard Business School Case Study teaching methods.

He is co-author of the text book Strategic Management: The Challenge of Creating Value 3rd Edition (Routledge Publishing), and an author in the edited book Management Through Collaboration: Teaming in a Networked World (Routledge Publishing).

Tim is Associate Editor of Journal of Management & Organization (Cambridge Publishing). Tim has published two book chapters, one teaching case study, 18 journal articles and 18 refereed conference papers published in proceedings. His well cited research appears in Journal of Business Research, Journal of Strategy and Management, Journal of Management & Organization, Research in Ethical Issues in Organizations and Singapore Management Review. Tim has presented his work at major international conferences including Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society and British Academy of Management. He is a three-time winner of the Outstanding Reviewer Award at the prestigious Strategic Management Society Conference and has numerous internal and external research grants to his credit.
