To better understand UUV technology and the risks that weaponised UUVs may pose to Australia's economy and security, RMIT and its research partners undertook an analysis examining the likelihood, impact, and mitigation steps related to autonomous submersible weapon systems scenarios.

In response to these challenges, the Australian government established the Enhancing Cyber Security Across Australia’s University Sector Project.

When cities went into lockdown amidst the coronavirus pandemic there was a rapid escalation of remote working and schooling. In response to this shift, AISA and the NSW Treasury commenced the Australian Cyber Security Skills & Jobs NSW Study to identify potential cyber security gaps and examine the impact that the pandemic was having on the local cyber security industry.

A new report by RMIT University 'Digital Skills and Cyber Security: How do we secure our future' attempts to understand the current digital skills issues, and the challenges the pandemic brought about, in the context of developing Melbourne as a Digital CBD. The research is funded by the Victorian State Government.
