Details

Learning and teaching

This course is taught predominantly face-to-face at RMIT's City Campus, or in facilitated online sessions where you are online but not alone. Several tasks require interaction with teammates and expert teachers to assist with understanding the complexities of high-quality training and assessment. You’ll analyse and respond to case studies and perform roleplays, when necessary, with classmates and teachers.

Assessment methods

Assessment typically comes in the form of assignments and projects. These may be either research or problem-based, providing you with experience in effectively researching, writing and presenting your findings to a range of audiences. There will also be individual and group assessments including participation in presentations and or role-plays.

Learning at RMIT

The types of classes you have will depend on the course you’re studying. Classes are offered in various formats designed to provide meaningful engagement with staff, industry and peers and provide for access and use of spaces where learning can be applied and active, including an array of specialised equipment.

Most RMIT courses do not include passive large-scale classes such as lectures, instead the content traditionally provided in lectures is made available online. This may be in the form of readings, videos or other on-demand learning materials. This content will also support the basis of interactive learning that takes place in on-campus classes.

RMIT is a renowned vocational education provider with expertise in this sector. We are strongly connected to industry and are leaders in training and assessment education.

The knowledge and skills you will acquire throughout this degree/diploma and how they can be applied in your career are described in the learning outcomes.

You should expect approximately 11 weeks of classes.

This skill set is offered as part of the standard 12-month TAE program and runs on specific dates each year. The usual completion time is a total of 3 months if undertaken full time.

Actual class dates will be provided at enrolment.
