RMIT English Worldwide announces partnership with COLFUTURO

RMIT Training is thrilled to announce that RMIT English Worldwide (REW) has signed an ELICOS agreement with the prestigious Colombian scholarship body COLFUTURO (the Foundation for the Future of Colombia).

The COLFUTURO-RMIT partnership aims to provide opportunities to talented Colombian students who want to study English, Masters and PhD programs at RMIT.

Ben Stubbs, RMIT Training’s Associate Director ELICOS, Sales and Conversions, says, “The COLFUTURO-RMIT partnership will enable many high performing Colombian students to study English again on campus at one of Australia's best University English language centres, located here in the centre of Melbourne. Students will be able to develop their English language proficiency with peers from all over the world again here in one the best cities for international students.”

The partnership includes a special RMIT funded bursary for English Language Studies (ELICOS).

COLFUTURO has similar agreements with four select Australian University ELICOS centres including RMIT English Worldwide.

To qualify for the COLFUTURO-RMIT English bursary, applicants must apply directly to COLFUTURO and fulfil the following requirements:

  • be professionals who have completed an undergraduate degree with a high GPA
  • complete an application form that includes personal details, work history and objectives
  • provide two letters of recommendation
  • provide academic diploma or transcript

The Colombian application process opens in March and closes April 3. Offers will be given in July and we expect to welcome the first cohorts on campus in semester 2, 2022.
