Ms Michelle Fitzgerald has extensive experience within the digital/ technology sector and is currently the Group Chief Digital Officer at St Vincent’s Health Australia. Ms Fitzgerald has a proven track record in leading strategy, design, testing and implementation of high impact, digitally-enabled change in purpose-driven organisations that operate in disruptive environments.

Ms Fitzgerald was previously Chief Digital Officer at the City of Melbourne. Prior to this she spent 18 years with Accenture and PwC, including five years as a Partner, focusing on digital strategy and transformation in Australia, Asia, the United Kingdom and Americas.

Ms Fitzgerald has served as a Director for Standards Australia, Internet of Things Alliance Australia and the Australia China Business Council (Victoria). She has also served on various technology committees for the World Economic Forum, Victorian State Government, Australian Federal Government, Monash and Swinburne Universities. Ms Fitzgerald represented the City of Melbourne in the European Union World Cities program in 2017-18, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program for Melbourne Innovation Districts in 2017-19. She was acknowledged as one of the Top 50 Public Sector Women in Victoria by the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) in 2020.
