Evaluation of the AITSL Flagship Professional Learning Program: Local Leadership

The aim of this study was to evaluate the first iteration of the Australian Institute of Teaching and Senior Leadership’s (AITSL) extensive program of professional development for school leaders.

Grants and funding: Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL)

Called the AITSL Flagship Professional Learning Program: Local Leadership, this program was delivered between August 2012 and March 2013. The program was a three stage professional learning program involving a cohort of principals and deputy/assistant principals from Government, Catholic and Independent schools across Australia. The results from this evaluation informed future iterations of this professional development program.
