Research

The RMIT Information Integrity Hub provides a platform for creating and sharing research from a range of disciplinary perspectives to shed light on the causes, creation and circulation of different forms of mis- and disinformation, including the impact of new technologies such as artificial intelligence on the digital news ecosystem. Through the creation of new knowledge and innovative approaches, our research is vital for developing ways to reduce the harm caused by false and misleading information.

Research Projects

Researchers from the School of Media and Communication and other centres, labs and groups across RMIT are working hard on projects to address the social, economic and policy challenges generated by different forms of bad information. Current projects involve partnerships with industry and community groups and encompass issues related to digital media, fact checking, artificial intelligence and online falsehoods.
