Bakehouse Studios: The Bakehouse Project

Event management and production | 120 students | 5 programs | 6 day event    

Produce a live music event held at Bakehouse Studios.

This cross-discipline event involves vocational education students and high-profile music industry professionals in technical production for broadcast television, sound, lighting, stage production, studio recording, media writing and photography.

The event has been held annually for the last 5 years with Bakehouse Studios and received the Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN) Local Hero award in 2016.

Melbourne Music Week: Breakout

Event management and production | 50 students | 3 months

Produce a live, sustainable-minded music event celebrating locality.

In collaboration with industry partners, students undertook all aspects of the event organisation, including logistics, sourcing artists and marketing the event. Students attended to the details of occupational health and safety, site layouts, risk management plans, waste management, managing artists, delivering sound tech, setting up stages, marketing the event, documenting the entire process and even performing at the event.
