This collaborative school-based intervention involves working with Year 8 Food Studies students to teach them about food waste and healthy eating.
The students will make use of leftover ingredients that they have in their homes to create delicious and healthy recipes that are suitable for people their age. We aim to build the students’ awareness of food waste, improve their self-efficacy in relation to cooking with leftovers, and encourage a reduction in both their personal and household food waste. All recipes created by the students will be collated and made into a recipe book that will be shared with the community.
