Out of the five litter trackers launched at Balcombe Creek, one litter tracker travelled 42 km over 35 hours into the Bay and landed on Aspendale Beach. One tracker travelled 240 m upstream from the launch point while the rest of the trackers showed small upstream movements in the creek. The trackers that remained in the creek were trapped in dense riparian vegetation in the creek. Balcombe Creek opens to the Bay when water levels rise suggesting the possiblity for litter in the creek to enter the Bay during high flow events.
