Are you an RMIT student who is d/Deaf, Disabled, or living with disability? Apply to join us at roundtable workshop series.
RMIT Creative has an exciting opportunity for students who are d/Deaf, Disabled, and/or living with disability, to come together for two collaborative roundtable sessions. Over these two sessions, we will explore futures: of belonging, culture, aesthetics and creativity.
Your insights, experiences and ideas will inform a student led social media campaign that aims to promote awareness and provoke the RMIT community to consider what’s beyond accessibility? The campaign will contribute to the Art for Social Change Project, We Belong – Beyond Accessibility Art Project, and aligns with the new participatory artwork being commissioned this year at RMIT. The artwork will be announced soon and we can tell you more about that at the workshops.
There are 12 places available. Each participant will receive an honorarium of $120 to acknowledge their expertise and lived experience. Participants must be available for one session each of the days.
We Belong is a disability led project, championed by RUSU Disability and Carers Officer Samuel Coombs, produced by RMIT Creative, and advised by Equity and Inclusion.
