Bowen Street Party

Get your festival on with fun face glitter/hair and metallic tattoos (fake), play carnival games for your chance to win a prize or kick back and watch the live performances.

The event will commence with a Welcome to Country and traditional dance. RMIT student band, MONROE will kick start the show, Australian dream pop band from Sydney, Egoism, will support headline powerhouse Thelma Plum.

The street will be a hive of activity with live music, silent disco DJ Battle, carnival games, photo booth caravan, lawn games, sport activities, sponsor give aways, chill out area, cheap food deals and festival vibes! A perfect chance to make friends and soak up the campus atmosphere.

MONROE - 3:15pm

MONROE are a 5 piece rock band hailing out of the South East Melbourne suburbs. Embodying the spirit of their 80s hard rock heroes, MONROE puts a modern twist on infectious guitar riffs, anthemic sing along choruses and bombastic, tongue in cheek KISS-esque onstage antics fit for a stadium. It's all about the show baby.

Egoism - 4:15pm

Egoism is an Australian dream pop band from Sydney.The band was formed in 2015, to date, the band have released two EPs − 2017's It's Wearing Off and 2020's On Our Minds − as well as several singles. They supported bands such as Last Dinosaurs, Flyying Colours and Phantastic Ferniture.

Thelma Plum - 5:30pm

Thelma Plum is a Gamilaraay woman, musician and creator. She has been making music her whole life and has told one chapter with her debut album Better in Blak.

The album became was nominated for 7 Arias and spawning 3 Platinum and one Gold singles. The title track “Better in Blak” came in the top 10 of the Triple J Hottest 100, the highest result ever for an Indigenous artist at the time.
