Wear it Purple 2024

All members of our community deserve to feel safe, included and respected. Join us in celebrating Wear it Purple Day.

Wear it Purple Day, Friday 30 August 2024, is an annual celebration dedicated to empowering LGBTIQA+ youth across Australia to dream big and express their passion and pride. On this day, everyone is encouraged to wear purple to show their support.

RMIT has a longstanding tradition of fostering an inclusive environment where students and staff can thrive. This year, in the lead-up to Wear it Purple Day, RMIT and RUSU are hosting several events across multiple campuses to celebrate LGBTIQA+ youth at RMIT.

So come along and join us in celebrating Wear it Purple Day!

LGBTIQA+ Community at RMIT

These events were organised in collaboration with LGBTIQA+ community members in the Equity and Inclusion Unit and RUSU at RMIT.

A pillar within RMIT's IDEA Framework is engaging reciprocal partnerships with the communities we serve to promote inclusion, diversity, equity and access. We're proud to empower the staff and students within our LGBTIQA+ community to bring their whole selves to work and study at RMIT. Learn more about the services and support on offer.
