I am Felix, a Masters by Research student at RMIT University.
I really enjoy photography, especially street photography where every random object & event are an opportunity to open our eyes to a different perspective. This, combined with my aptitude for engineering, led me to complete my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) at RMIT University (Melbourne, Australia) in 2018.
During my undergraduate studies, I developed an interest in computer-aided design & finite element analysis. This led me to work for RMIT as a product designer for an exciting medical project in a manufacturing environment that eventually directed me to the wonderful world of additive manufacturing.
In 2020, as part of my professional year program, I had a great opportunity to work at CSIRO as a mechanical engineering intern for 3 months. My CSIRO supervisor then offered me a position as an external mechanical engineering contractor for a biomedical project, furthering my exposure to additive manufacturing technology. As a result, I started my Masters by Research degree in 2021 in the area of cold spray additive manufacturing.
