I am Karim, a MRes holder in chemical engineering at RMIT University.
I received my first degree in engineering with GPA 3.77 where I was ranked third upon my 2016 class in Alexandria University (Egypt). I then worked as a process engineer in Egypt at GASCO specialising in gas processing. My graduation project was about corrosion and its control during crude petroleum transportation & processing. This experience made me more passionate about material degradation studies. Thus, I received a scholarship from RMIT in February 2020 for postgraduate studies in material degradation. I joined the RDF Team, which includes many experts in material sciences who can help me to further my exploration, and was recently awarded a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from RMIT University (Melbourne, Australia) in July 2022 with a grade of 82% (High Distinction).
