Careers for Doctoral Candidates! Expression of interest to be on a panel discussion exploring different career pathways during and after the PhD

Do you want to help guide the next career steps of PhD students as the next generation of potential industry leaders?

We are seeking an expression of interest for one or two people from the property, construction and project management sectors to join a panel for RMIT PhD students to explore what opportunities are open to them once they complete their research. Undertaking a PhD has traditionally led to work at universities but there are an increasing number of PhD students who go and work in industry, government or other sectors.

We are putting together a lunchtime panel discussion with a range of different stakeholders for an event in early June 2025. We are wanting the students to hear about the various options which could be available to them, and to understand what they can do to prepare themselves for these opportunities in an increasingly competitive work environment.

If you are interested in sharing your insights with the next generation of PhD graduates please contact Associate Professor Trivess Moore (trivess.moore@rmit.edu.au) or Professor Tania Lewis (tania.lewis@rmit.edu.au) by 5pm Friday 4 April 2025.
