Project management postgraduate students brought the Project Management Club (PMC) back to life, rallying an impressive 200 sign-ups at the Bowen Street Campus fest event.
In an inspiring move, a team of enthusiastic Project Management post-graduate students, taking on the responsibility as the new management team for the PMC, under the guidance of their committed senior lecturer and project manager Omid Haas, have revitalized the Project Management Club (PMC). After being inactive since mid-2023, the club is back and poised to make a significant impact on the project management community.
The club's exciting comeback was made at the Bowen Street Campus Fest on July 25th. The newly formed PMC management team set up a vibrant marquee, creating a welcoming space to engage with fellow students. Their enthusiasm and commitment to highlighting the importance of collaboration in project management resonated with attendees, leading to an impressive 200 sign-ups. This overwhelming response reflects the strong interest and support from students eager to be part of this motivated community.
The Project Management Club is more than just a group—it's a community aimed at bringing together students, alumni, and industry experts in project management and related fields. The club promises to provide its members with valuable opportunities to gain practical knowledge, build professional networks, and forge meaningful connections. Through a variety of activities, events, seminars, and workshops, the PMC aims to create a supportive environment that helps members grow both academically and professionally.
Leading the charge are Nidhi Arora as President, Nidhaan Singh Dhindsa as Vice-President, Janavi Omkar as Secretary, Abhishek Narendra Kumar Singh as Treasurer, and Antara Prashant Harne as Event Officer. With their guidance, the club plans to organize regular events to enhance members' skills and industry connections.
Our mission is to build a thriving community where members can develop their project management skills, share knowledge, collaborate effectively, and support one another on their professional journeys. Join us as we embark on this exciting journey towards a brighter future in project management!
The students received invaluable support from A/Prof Tiendung Le, the Program Manager of Postgraduate Programs at that time.
