Certificates

What is a certificate?

A certificate is a vocational or TAFE qualification that provides different levels of training to prepare you with the practical skills and knowledge for your academic pathway and career goals. If your goal is to study a bachelor degree, studying a certificate can open pathways at RMIT that provide you with the opportunity to study a degree without having the need for an ATAR score. At RMIT, certificates range from Certificate II to Certificate IV and are designed in collaboration with industry to ensure that you are learning the skills to land and succeed in your dream career.

Certificates II

A Certificate II is a minimum qualification for entry into some industries and jobs and introduces basic skills. This may be completed as a pre-apprenticeship that provides an introduction to industry and helps prepare students for an apprenticeship.

Certificates III and IV

A Certificate III and IV are designed to prepare you for roles or fields that require a higher level of skills and may be completed as part of a traineeship or apprenticeship
