Assoc Professor Banita Bissoondoyal-Bheenick

Banita Bissoondoyal-Bheenick joined RMIT University as an Associate Professor in Finance in February 2019 and is currently the Deputy Head of School, Finance

Prior to this, Professor Bissoondoyal-Bheenick was a senior lecturer in the Monash Business School.  Her teaching philosophy centers around providing quality teaching and learning outcomes for students. Professor Bissoondoyal-Bheenick strongly advocates student engagement as a key goal in her teaching approach. 

The central focus of her research is the assessment of Australian Superannuation and global pension funds. Professor Bissoondoyal-Bheenick has published papers in high quality journals and books as well presented at conferences in Europe, Asia and Australia as well in the Australian Financial press. She was equally appointed at the Australian Centre of Financial Studies (ACFS) to undertake research in the superannuation area.
