Professor Roslyn Russell is a Professor and Principal Research Fellow in the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT University
Professor Russell has been researching financial capabilities and financial wellbeing in Australia for more than fifteen years, receiving several ARC grants with the most recent Discovery grant exploring the financial wellbeing of women in Australia.
Professor Russell has undertaken extensive research on saving behaviour and the role of financial education programs in improving the financial wellbeing of lower-income households. Other research includes payday lending in Australia; financial wellbeing of older people, people with disability and autistic individuals. Most of Professor Roslyn’s research is for industry including finance, government and community sectors. She is currently serving on the Australian Government Financial Literacy Board.
