Professor Imad Moosa is a Professor of Finance at RMIT University
Professor Moosa obtained a BA in economics and business studies, an MA in the economics of financial intermediaries and a PhD in financial economics from the University of Sheffield. Professor Moosa had worked as a financial analyst, financial journalist and a professional economist in banking and finance.
In 1991 he started an academic career by lecturing in Economics and Finance at the University of Sheffield. In 1994 he joined La Trobe University, where he ended up holding a chair in finance, before joining Monash University in September 2006. In 2010 Professor Moosa moved to his current position at RMIT. He has published 25 books and over 200 papers in academic journals.
Professor Moosa has served in a number of advisory positions with private and public institutions, including KPMG, AusAid, US Treasury, Central Bank of Kuwait and the United Nations.
