Research interests

Jason K. Foster started as a journalist back in 2000 and since then he has also become an author and educator.
Moving to the UK between 2002 and 2004, Buenos Aires in 2006, Spain in 2018 and otherwise coming and going between Australia and the world, Jason has worked in both media and educational roles across the countries.
Jason is currently in the process of completing his PhD with RMIT; having begun his research journey in 2021.   He has spent time in Hispanic nations, and being a keen film buff, Jason not only learned to speak Spanish but developed a keen interest in Spanish and Latin American and history. His PhD research, therefore, focuses on filmic historiography and the relationship between Latin American politics, cinema and historical representations.
As a multi-published author of successful true crime, history and children's educational books and novels, Jason has had many mentors and teachers help him reach this stage in his writing career and he is now proud to act in that role towards others.
