Dr Hamed Jahani is a senior lecturer at RMIT University, School of AISSC, Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (ISBA). His research focuses on applying advanced operations research, machine learning, and text-mining methods in the supply chain and logistics domain. He is particularly interested in understanding quantitative, analytical, and mathematical models applicable to real business problems.
Hamed has several papers published in top-ranked A* and A-ranked journals such as Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, and Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review.
He also has experience of working for the industry as a data scientist/analyst in ANZ bank, APO at Swinburne Uni, and GIIDC for more than 10 years.
He has developed his knowledge by teaching at RMIT, Deakin, and Monash in Australia for several Supply Chain Analytics, Information Systems, and Business Analytics courses.
Since starting at RMIT, Hamed has taken charge of various courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, handling coordination and instruction. He's been proactive in devising inventive teaching approaches to enhance student learning outcomes significantly, leading to his exceptional GTS score recognition.
