Dr Sophia Ji brings over two decades of experience in higher education, combining scholarly excellence with a substantial industry background. Prior to academia, she established a solid practical foundation as a project management accountant at a major listed company for nine years. Her research appears in leading international accounting and law journals, and she has authored research book chapters. Dr Ji's teaching excellence has been recognised through College and School teaching awards, reflecting her ability to blend theoretical expertise with practical insights. She is committed to advancing academic scholarship while maintaining strong industry connections, ensuring students receive relevant, practice-oriented scholarly education that prepares them for professional success.
Dr Ji champions authentic learning and workplace readiness through a teaching philosophy centred on student engagement and real-world application. She believes that fostering genuine interest in learning leads to deeper conceptual understanding and stronger academic outcomes.
