About

Professor Guiying Nie is an internationally recognised reproductive biologist.

Professor Guiying Nie is a molecular biologist specialising in female reproduction, with a PhD awarded in the UK, postdoctoral training accomplished in the USA, and a subsequent rewarding career established in Australia. She now heads the Implantation and Pregnancy Research Laboratory in the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences at RMIT. Her work addresses key issues of women’s reproductive health.

With over 20 years of research experience in the field, Professor Nie’s work has been recognised globally, and her research has been supported continuously by NHMRC as well as industry and international funding bodies. Professor Nie is a Fellow of the Society for Reproductive Biology, and has served on a number of editorial boards, including a current position as an Associate Editor of Reproductive Sciences. She is an executive member of Australian and New Zealand Placental Research Association and has served as its treasurer.
