Learn how to prove your eligibility for a government subsidised place (GSP) before you enrol to ensure you keep your place at RMIT.
Complete your Evidence of student eligibility declaration online and verify your citizenship online using your current passport:
When your citizenship has been verified, an RMIT staff member will assess your eligibility and contact you to ask some questions. Usually this takes up to 48 hours, but may take longer during our busiest times.
Complete your Evidence of student eligibility declaration online and verify visa entitlements in person:
If your Evidence of student eligibility declaration indicates that you are ineligible for a government subsidised place then you may be offered a full-fee place at RMIT. Find out the full-fee rate for your program by using the RMIT fee finder.
If you already verified your citizenship when you enrolled in a previous program, you may be prompted to show the original or certified copy of the document you verified. Provide your documents to Student Connect as soon as possible.
If you do not have a current Australian or New Zealand passport, see below for the full list of acceptable documents.
