About

Fatemeh Shiri is a Lecturer in the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the School of Computing Technologies, RMIT University. Prior to joining RMIT, she spent four years as a Research Fellow at Monash University. Fatemeh earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Australian National University in 2021. Her expertise lies in Generative AI, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

  • Reasoning-based multi-agent systems 
  • Evaluating and benchmarking the Reasoning capabilities of Large Multimodal Models
  • Extracting knowledge from diverse modalities, such as event and relation extraction from text and scene graph generation from images.
