Dr. March L. To is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Business and Law at RMIT University, Australia.
Dr. To’s dedication to organisational psychology stems from his passion for creating an inclusive and positive workplace. His research delves into critical areas, including workplace emotions, employee well-being and creative performance, effective leadership and motivation, as well as team diversity and cooperation. He has published in top-tier international journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology (A*), the Journal of Organizational Behavior (A*), and the Leadership Quarterly (A*), as well as in the prestigious Financial Times Top 50 Journals. Dr. To has been invited to contribute to renowned handbooks like the Oxford Handbook and Cambridge Handbook. Engagements with Prominent Organisations/Institutes
Woodside Energy (Global Energy Leader): Dr. To facilitated a training workshop for Woodside, with the involvement of 7 top executives from the USA and Australia: applying the skill-mapping technique for team building and goal setting.
Leadership Training Programs for Local Government: The skill-mapping tool has been integral in two leadership training programs for a local government. These programs, attended by 40 team leaders, facilitated skill/knowledge exchange and promoted inclusivity among employees of different age groups.
Joint-University Collaborations: Dr. To is leading joint-university projects with Monash University, aiming to study emotional recovery and employee wellbeing. Furthermore, the skill-mapping technique he developed has been incorporated into the education systems of both the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University.
Lendlease (Global Real Estate and Investment Group): Dr. To has been involved in a longitudinal project with Lendlease, exploring employees’ proactivity and its emotional impacts.
Industry Engagements in Hong Kong
Dr. To served as a committee member for a Total Wellbeing Scheme for employees in collaboration with the Hong Kong General Chamber of Social Enterprises (HKGCSE) and the Centre of Human Resource Strategy & Development. The project aimed to deepen the understanding of how to promote employee wellbeing in both business and social enterprises.
