Kevin Thai is a Lecturer at the Department of Accounting since 2022 with extensive experience in the tertiary education sector. Kevin takes a student-centered approach, leading the integration of teaching innovation and industry-relevant learning materials into the accounting curriculum to enhance student engagement and employability. He has been recognised for his commitment to delivering high-quality teaching at RMIT University (2023 Dean's Award of Excellence in Teaching) and The University of Queensland (2021 The Excellence in Education – Leading Teaching and 2021 Tutor Award of Excellence). He has taught both financial accounting (all levels) and introductory management accounting at undergraduate level.
His research interests are mainly focused on examining economic implications of accounting standard/policy and corporate voluntary disclosure using both manual and automated textual analysis techniques.
