Food Cultures and Practices

The Food Cultures and Practices Enabling Impact Network is an interdisciplinary nexus at RMIT, uniting food researchers and industry partners in social policy, sustainability, health, and manufacturing.

The purpose of this network is to foster interdisciplinary collaborations between RMIT researchers and their industry partners, advancing conversations about everyday food practices, the cultures that shape them, and their societal impact.

Key areas of focus include:

  1. Enhancing RMIT’s capacity to engage with and generate large collaborative funding of food-related grants; and
  2. Creating societal impact through the use of innovative methods such as food (as) pedagogy and engagement with industry partners through roundtables, submission writing, and other approaches.
