About

Dr. Shuwen Hu holds a PhD in Statistics from Queensland University of Technology, a Bachelor of Mathematics from Soochow University, and a Master of Mathematics in Statistics from Chongqing University. Her research interests encompass statistical machine learning, time-series data analysis, and longitudinal data analysis. Her research on longitudinal data focuses on creating innovative statistical methods that integrate machine learning and deep learning techniques to analyze complex time-to-event data, with a particular emphasis on applications in animal science. Additionally, she develops methods to analyse sensor data for quantifying animal welfare, aiming to enhance individual animal health and overall welfare.
