Dr. Iryna Heiets is a Senior Lecturer in Aviation at RMIT University and Program Manager for Programs BP070 Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation) and BP 284 Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation)/Bachelor of Business. Her research focuses on air transportation management, aviation strategy, game theory, coopetition strategy, airline marketing, and operations.
Dr. Heiets earned her Ph.D. from the National Aviation University (Ukraine), where she also completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. She later worked as an Assistant and Associate Professor in the Department of Air Transportation Management, leading a major program redevelopment.
Before joining RMIT University, she conducted postdoctoral research at Université de Montpellier in France and enhanced her qualifications at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the USA, where she studied E-business. She has been awarded several prestigious grants, including funding from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2014), the European Commission (2015), the Global Business Innovation Fund at RMIT University (2019), and the Ukraine-Australia Research Fund of the Australian Academy of Science (2023).
Dr. Heiets has also served as a guest lecturer at Sumy State University and the National Aviation University. She maintains strong research collaborations with Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines. She coordinates and teaches approximately six courses annually across Melbourne, Singapore, and Hong Kong, playing a key role in integrating blended learning and technology into the classroom.
Dr. Heiets actively presents her research findings at international conferences.
