Miss Freya Cristea
Freya is passionate about innovative pedagogical practices to support the wellbeing of students. Freya teaches social psychology, psychology of gender, cross-cultural psychology, foundations and principles of psychology and understanding personality. She is also the program manager for RMIT Vietnam Psychology, which means she is often on the go with multiple cohorts of fabulous students. Freya is an educator at her core, and is dedicated to decolonising university practices, teaching spaces and research methods.
She is completing her PhD in Psychology, with a focus on creating a culturally meaningful model of university student wellbeing. She has extensive experience working with students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, as well as culturally unique groups and international students. Her experience with large medical device companies and pharmaceutical companies as a senior clinical research associate and clinical regulatory consultant facilitates an added layer of understanding regarding ethics reviews, literature reviews, referencing and working with multiple stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Her recent involvement in a research group regarding Learning and Teaching has propagated multiple research projects with prospects for future honours students to explore.
