Began professionally as Art Director / Designer in an advertising agency.
Consulted extensively as a graphic designer to advertising agencies and direct to clients in corporate image, packaging, brochures, reports and general print items.
Established and partnered a Graphic Design and Illustration studio with a broad clientele and built a well recognised profile in local creative industry.
Established and co-director of a Graphic Design-based Studio Business with Graphic Design and Advertising/Marketing Strategy mix of clientele and projects. Speciality - Corporate Identity and Corporate Profile Development (print).
1995–2002
Trilateral Creative Group – Co founder/ Senior Designer/ Director
Corporate and Brand Identity development, graphics systems development. Creative planning, marketing strategy, art direction, project coordination including print management.
Full client liaison.
Clients included: Redken, Britz Australia, Ansett International Air Freight, Holden Special Projects, St Margarets Independent Girls School, Alfred Health Care Group, In Essence, Performance Athletic Wear, Body Furniture, Thomson Lilley Commercial Interior Designers.
1993–1994
Monash University – Lecturer/ Year Coordinator Graphic Design (Bachelor) Program
Second Year level coordinator and lecturer, third year lecturer. Development and management of complete 2nd year curriculum. MADC mentor scheme coordinator. Established Illustrators pilot mentor scheme with the Illustrators Association of Australia.
Also during this time David consulted in graphic design in corporate identity development.
Including freelance work for Emery Vincent and FHA Image Design.
1988–1992

Established own consultancy for direct client and consultancy/freelance work,
Consulted as a senior graphic designer for many advertising agencies and design studios including:
Box Emery & Partners,Thomson White & Partners, FCB, DDB, Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann Erickson, George Patterson, Mojo Partners, Grey Advertising, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy & Mather.
1986–1987
Farman Foley Gill Advertising – Art Director/Graphic Designer
Graphic design for print work, corporate identity and art direction for ad campaigns including TVC.
Clients included: Janome, Diadora, Jarvis Walker and Puma
1984–1986
Thomson White and Partners Advertising – Art Director/ Graphic Designer
All corporate identity and graphic design for print work and product brand building.
All graphic design of corporate documents.
Art direction of ad and mixed media campaigns. including TVC.
Clients included: Manchester Unity, AAMI, Lincraft, Federal Pacific Hotels, Haselgroves Wines and Captain Snooze.
