About

I am currently a Vice-Chancellor’s Senior Research Fellow in Chemical and Environmental Engineering at RMIT University. Before joining RMIT in January 2021, I was a tenured Associate Professor at the School of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China). I received my Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering in 2005 and have over 15 years of research experience in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering.

Before my tenure at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, I completed two postdoctoral research fellowships, one at Monash University (Australia) and another at INSERM (France). During my 10 years at SJTU, I made significant contributions to research and teaching in biomaterials and tissue engineering.

My research achievements include over 119 peer-reviewed publications, 8 patents (5 granted), and securing approximately 11 major research grants.
