Dr. Susanna Lu is a Lecturer in Finance and the Postgraduate Finance Program Manager, overseeing the Master of Finance, Graduate Certificate in Finance and Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Finance and Investments programs.
Susanna's research interest lies primarily in the area of empirical corporate finance, including corporate governance, corporate capital structure, corporate social responsibility, corporate innovation, executive incentives and behavior, mergers and acquisitions, and social finance. She has published a number of articles in high-quality finance and accounting journals (ABDC-A/A*).
Susanna is a passionate lecturer with extensive teaching experience. She has taught a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Introductory Finance, Managerial Finance, International Finance, Advanced Corporate Finance, Personal Financial Planning, Derivative Securities, Financial Risk Management, Capital Markets and Financial Institutions, and Portfolio Management.
Susanna has successfully supervised a number of master and PhD students to completion. She welcomes research supervision inquiries in the broad area of corporate finance.
Susanna obtained her PhD in Finance from UNSW Sydney. Before joining RMIT University, she taught in UNSW Sydney and University of Waikato (New Zealand).

Currently, Susanna is the Course Coordinator for two core postgraduate courses: BAFI3258 Managerial Finance and BAFI3178 Portfolio Management.
