We ask Nishant Manojkumar Shukla, Director of Vardaam Infotech Private Limited, and RMIT alum, six questions about being a business owner.
1. What did you study at RMIT and what attracted you to that program?
I studied the Master of Business Information Technology.
The course curriculum involved learning on how technology can be aligned with business for the growth and development. Being a graduate of a Bachelor of Information Technology, I always wanted to pursue business in technology, therefore this program attracted me since it provided me with business learning involving technology with it.
2. What is your business all about?
WebbyWide is all about Design, Develop and Market. We help businesses and startups to build their brand in the digital space.
3. Where do you see your business in 10 years’ time?
In next 10 years, I believe to see WebbyWide as one of the top marketing agencies providing 360 solutions at one stop in the world.
4. How has studying at RMIT prepared you to run your business?
The knowledge and experience that I gained while studying in RMIT helped me in understanding the core of the business side and how it can be developed using technology. WebbyWide is a result of developing a platform business using technology.
5. What advice would you have offered yourself when you first started your business?
The first advice that I gave myself before starting the business is Don’t be afraid to risk. I always believe that taking risk is an opportunity to invest, where you fail then you learn and then succeed.
6. What do you personally like about social media advertising?
Social media advertisement has opened an opportunity for every small business to reach out globally.
