5 minutes with Via Farrelly

We ask Via, the Founder and Myotherapist or Via Massage and RMIT alum, seven questions about being a business owner.

1. What did you study at RMIT and what attracted you to that program?

I studied Myotherapy at RMIT, I wanted to do this course to gain extra skills for my job and to enhance my clinical knowledge in this area.

2. What is your business all about?

My business is about giving everyday people the time to pause from their busy lives and prioritise themselves and their health. I aim to bring people to a place of peace and presence within their body and mind.

3. Where do you see your business in 10 years’ time?

I see it as a successful business with multiple long-term clients, always expanding and potentially hiring another likeminded therapist who I will support and train.

4. How has studying at RMIT prepared you to run your business?

RMIT provided me with the skills to run a small business with the small business planning subject in the course.

5. What advice would you have offered yourself when you first started your business?

I would say to myself to not be so hard on myself and to set realistic goals and expectations.

7. How do you wind down after a long day at work?

I often do yoga and meditate every night. I also like to make sure I am eating good food.

Remedial Massage Therapist - via.farrelly@gmail.com

Via Farrelly started her journey in healthcare at the start of 2021 because she wanted to help people feel their best. After the lockdowns Via realised there was too much stress in the world and wanted to help people come back to their authentic self. Via become passionate about remedial massage and wanted to expand my knowledge in this area because she felt there was more to learn.

In 2023 Via completed the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy at RMIT. During her studies she became very interested in anatomy and how the body works. She is now working in a clinic and looking forward to getting some of more clients she can treat in her home studio.
