Teaching interests

Cell signalling, proteoglycan biochemistry, pathology and cell biology of cardiovascular diseases especially atherosclerosis and diabetes-related vascular disease.

Teaching responsibilities
Supervision of undergraduate research placement students, post-graduate Honours, Masters and PhD students.

Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cardiovascular Medicine and Haematology, Clinical Sciences, Medical Biochemistry and Metabolomics, Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Medical Physiology
- Cell signaling pathways that regulate extracellular matrix form and function with a focus on vascular disease and diabetes.
- Cell biology of proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans in health and disease.
- Identification of drug targets for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
