About

Rick De Vos conducts research in anthropogenic extinction at the Centre for Urban Research as part of the ARC project Extinction Imaginaries: Mapping Affective Visual Cultures in Australasia. He is also a co-editor for Sydney University Press’ Animal Politics book series.

 

He has published widely on the cultural and historical significance of extinction, the ways in which extinction is articulated and practiced, and on colonial and species histories. His relevant publications can be found here.
