Dr Mladenko Kajtaz
Dr Mladenko Kajtaz is an academic in School of Engineering with aspirational industry relevant research outputs and outstanding teaching outcomes locally and internationally.
Research overview
Dr Mladenko Kajtaz's research interests and areas of expertise include the design and analysis of engineering systems, product development and innovation, mechanical design, finite element analysis and multidisciplinary design optimisation. In addition to computer-aided simulation and optimisation, Dr Kajtaz is involved in developing lab models and performing a variety of mechanical tests. Areas of application include load-bearing and energy absorbing structures for assistive technologies, human body protection, sports technology and lightweight micro-vehicles.
One of the primary focuses of Mladenko's current work is on the design of optimised lightweight load-bearing structures utilising additive (3D) printing and hybrid materials.
Mladenko is a member of sports technology and lightweight structures research groups at School of Engineering, and a research member of RMIT Centre for Additive Manufacturing.
