Dr. Haiying Kang is a Senior lecturer of HRM at School of Management, RMIT University. Haiying is currently the HDR Coordinator of School of Management, and the Co-Theme Leader (Multicultural Inclusion) of Centre for Organisations and Social Change (COSC).
Her main research interests are HRM and International HRM. More specifically, her research focuses on interactions within workgroups and teams, mentoring, career management, employee health and wellbeing, work design in global context, cross-cultural management, and expatriate management.
Her work has published in top-tier journals including Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Review, International Business Review, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of International Management, Applied Psychology: An International Review, among others. She is also the author of the book International Human Resource Management in South Korean Enterprises published by Palgrave Macmillan. Currently, she is the Associate Editor of Journal of Management and Organization. She is also a regular reviewer for top-tier journals, such as Journal of World Business, Applied Psychology, Personnel Review, Journal of Business Research, among others. Haiying has received a number external fundings from Australian government and public charitable trusts.
Haiying received several awards for her work, including the Early Career Academic Award for Excellence (School of Management, RMIT), the Best Journal publication (School of Management, RMIT), and the Best Book Award (College of Business & Law, RMIT).
Haiying received Bachelor degree (Accounting) and Master degree (Performance Management) from The University of Adelaide, and a PhD in Human Resource Management from University of South Australia.
