Dr. Janneke Blijlevens is a Senior Lecturer in the Marketing discipline in the College of Business and Law at RMIT. Social impact and interdisciplinarity are her middle name. She works with students, industry partners, and research collaborators to develop and implement learning experiences, behavioural interventions, and designs that catalyse social change in the world. Tackling complex societal issues such as cultural inclusion, sexual harassment and assault, financial literacy, and future-forward education requires the theoretical and methodological lenses of multiple disciplines. Her experience in design and marketing schools, and background in cognitive (experimental) psychology, gives her a unique ability to understand different ways of thinking and working with collaborators from different backgrounds. She has, over the years, carefully crafted a methodology to solve complex societal problems and design innovative, evidence-based behavioural interventions that make a real impact in the world. Janneke is passionate about preparing her students for their positive role in society and for them to learn how to use their (thinking and operational) powers for good.
