Dr Biplob Pramanik is a Senior Lecturer in the Civil & Infrastructure Engineering Discipline and Director of the Water: Effective Technologies and Tools (WETT) Research Centre at RMIT University, Australia. Biplob is also an ARC DECRA fellow. Before joining RMIT, he worked at LaTrobe University, Australia as a Lecturer and at the University of Wollongong as a Vice-Chancellor Postdoctoral Research Fellow between Jan 2017 and Jan 2019. Biplob obtained his PhD degree from RMIT University in 2016. Biplob's research focuses on the development of a separation-based technological platform for removing emerging pollutants (such as nano/microplastics) from water and wastewater. His current research also focuses on fatberg management and resource recovery. Dr Biplob Pramanik has attracted over $4.0 m in research funds, and contributed over 20 keynotes and invited talks. So far, he has 4 book chapters and 140+ publications in highly ranked international peer-reviewed journals, which attracted over 6000 citations and an H index of 42.
